An Incident Action Plan as developed by John Hilley is the concept of building out an overall team and a sub-set of recovery teams that have specific tasks. The following documents will help implement this plan:
1) The Incident Action Team. This document gives an organizational strategy to return to normal operations through segmenting out the critical functions and units and dedicating a team of people to address and resolve the issues.
2) Guidelines for the Recovery Team. This document outlines the authority and control procedures that are to be followed during a business interruption/crisis.
3) An excel spreadsheet that logs all decisions that have and need to be made. Having a common log sheet is very important for communication internally (and externally). This sheet focuses upon the main buckets of concern: administration, facilities, program (worship), and communications.
