Guatemala-Peten Covenant Committee

From the rain forest to the villages, the Peten in Guatemala is a beautiful and complicated place.  The Presbytery of Middle Tennessee began a partnership with the Presbytery of the Peten in 2002.  It took a couple of years to develop a covenant which states our purpose and goals: we come together to praise and serve as members of the same body of Christ.

We have been nurturing our relationship over the years.  We have made over 15 trips to the Peten and have worked with our brothers and sisters in areas of education (both secular and theological), healthcare, and water issues.

Though travel might be difficult, we have managed to visit as many villages as possible where we are always welcomed warmly with smiles, food, and fellowship. Our shared worship is filled with music, prayer, and praise.
